I would say that is definitely test mule of next LC. No way that is a Sequoia. Way too many similarities to the current LC for it not to be. Sequoia will be much larger than this once its is debuted. A dealer buddy of mine saw both the SQ and LC at the San Antonio dealer meeting a couple of weeks ago and said the LC looked classy and Range-Roverish - which appears to support these pictures. Said the SQ was large and fairly disappointing. Did say they were roped off about 300 feet away so they could not tell exact specifics, only to say that the new LC will be more along the lines of the Range Rover.

Default Spy Shots: 2009 Toyota Land Cruiser

Big changes for an even bigger ute.
by Brenda Priddy (2006-10-30)

Toyota's large Land Cruiser and its sibling, the Lexus LX470, underwent a minor facelift for the 2006 model year. But major changes are coming soon - and these pictures show the next Land Cruiser/LX470 undergoing testing in Europe.

Despite the burly disguise, the next Land Cruiser/LX470 will become rounder, with more sculpted sheetmetal. Engines are expected to range again from a V-6 diesel in some markets to a big 4.7-liter V-8.

Inside, the cabin will get yet more luxurious, with even more chrome and wood.

The new Land Cruiser and LX replacements will be launched in 2007 for markets outside North America. The vehicles will reach the U.S. in 2008, likely as 2009 models.

4.7 V8? Why not the 5.7 V8?

At least in North America, they should make it with the new 5.7

Unless there's a sizing issue inside the engine bay, I can't see why we wouldn't get the 5.7L. Lexus may stagger the changes to the LX like they're doing with the GS 300/350 and 430/460. They might release a new body with the old engine, then in a year or two bust out the big guns.

Have they done anything to the 4.7L V8 for the new 08 tundra they may have boosted power or improved fuel efficiency or maybe theyre using a sixspeed auto for the new vehicle.

I love Toyota!
I am sure it is a good car for the family, but I cannot afford 15MPG chunk rolling on the street.
Thanks for the pics!

Most likely two engines choices, an LX470 and LX570

i doubt they would use the old ancient 4.7 liter anymore, why would they do that when theres already a 4.6 making more power more torque more mpg
