I am probably the biggest LC's fan on this board but this new spy shot has RAV 4 written all over it! I will have to wait and see the final production product and see if I like it or not.

But I serisouly doubt the new V8 4.5 twin turbo diesel making "only" 317 ft-lb. Must be a mis print. I wish we can have that in the state side.

The oldest member of Toyota's seemingly ever-expanding SUV lineup, the Land Cruiser, is due for another update for model year 2009. It's expected to make an initial appearance in production trim at the Tokyo Auto Salon in December, but a Czech site has some spy photos of a camo-covered prototype. The new Land "Bruiser" is expected to have a new 4.5L turbo-diesel W-8 with common rail injection, putting out 206hp and 317lb-ft of torque.

Looks like its gonna be a pretty cool truck. But I have funny feelings that the rear of this truck with look like poo.

Hopefully the LC wont go down the same road the new Highlander went.

Totally. Horsepower figure is way too low too. It has to be more like 206kW of horsepower and 317kg-m of torque instead.

Thats what I thought. I mean, toyota's NA 4.7L V8 produces 300+ft/lbs of torque. NO WAY a 4.5L V8 turbo diesel is gonna be producing only 317 ft/lbs tq.

206KW sounds likely, but 317kg-m is like 2000ft/lbs of torque.....Its not a tank

You kind of wonder how many rolls of black tape they've used to modify the car's appearance. Endurance testing at it's best.

I doubt the LC will debut at NAIAS tho. The car wasn't meant for the NA market. May be Japan Auto show in late OCT?

I am pretty sure that the car will go on sale around DEC as 09' MY.

And I want that 4.5L W8 TT diesel here in NA!! bring it please.

I'm wondering, is the new LX/LC going to have an appreciable increase in size? The competition (Lincoln Navigator/Cadillac Escalade/etc) is 10 inches longer, etc.

These pictures all look like a similarly sized vehicle to the previous generation. Is this the biggest Toyota is going to get? No super huge vehicle like the Tundra?

I think Sequoia will be bigger than LC or LX.
