Thanks for the correction, I should have said inline 6 engine.

LOL. You know whats funny - 96k MB S500, "BASE" doesnt have smart entry... and you are complaining about 30k cheaper base LS460?

Ridicilous.

also, who cares what "the base" is? You pick your options and then determine how much do they cost.

Just stating they haven't lowered production to meet demand. They sell all they make, not make just enough to sell. Very different.

that's why i keep on saying comparing "base" or "loaded" are pretty pointless. get the price list and option list together and we are talking

The italdesign GS (previous generation) was much better but the driving dynamics and engine choices were not on par.

To pinpoint just a few problems with GS:

1. Bulbous trunk.
2. Headlights and the way the hood swoops in the front looks too heavy and ugly
3. The side profile looks just plain lardy.

I will post a detailed account of design flaws for the benefit of lexus designers on proper forum for GS. The lexus designers have clearly bombed it and almost destroyed it.
I agree with all of this. Like most aging celebrities, the 3GS only looks good to me in black. It hides the flaws and flatters the figure.

Agree that it looks best in Obsidian or Black Sapphire, but disagree that there are many flaws to hide (except for the AWD version riding a little too high):
