In a streetcar there is.... Its called FORCED INDUCTION. You can make claims about turbocharging a V8 blah blah blah... but in the end, its less work to make 800whp in a Supra than 800whp in some V8. And don't give misinfo on dyno-queens either... The turbos available today are VERY efficient and spool MUCH better than the older varieties from 5 or 6 years ago.
In a drag car? yeah, most things being equal the bigger motor wins... of course there's 2jz-gte cars running in the 6s nowadays... and its not exactly a rare sight either. Until you get to the point where the car isnt streetable, displacement doesn't REALLY matter. Unless you're running a really small motor of course.
Stock cars? Toyota found it a better idea to run larger V8s in the new vehicles... the low emissions of newer motors coupled with great gas mileage figures lets them have the best of both worlds. If the 4.6L makes 380 ft-lbs of torque... imagine what a 5.7 will make when its setup to make the big torque?

You must remember these are "insiders". LMAO I'm just preparing myself for when they tell us about Lexus' new L-finesse design and plan for hybrids.

Lexus is going to have some tough competition ahead
Acura is bringing AWD to most of its vehicles
that includes the TL and the TSX
i hope that winking smiley means you are joking, GFerg.
going for cloth top is like taking a step back from hardtop convertible
the current SC is pretty hard to improve upon i would say
except maybe bigger leg room in the rear seats
i just watched Terminator 3 again tonite, what a sweet car the SC430 is...

there are just too many performance convertibles out there, but almost no convertibles at this price range with this level of luxury
