Supra TT hands down. NSX comes in 2nd place. The NSX is more of a track car, and it's way underpowered for it's price. It has a sleek exotic looking design and I kinda look at it as the Japanese corvette. However, the Supra was way ahead of it's time, even now. Powered by the 2JZ-GTE engine, this is one of Japans best supercars ever made. The best there is, was, and ever will be.

NSX. No doubt about it. All are great cars, but the NSX is a true super car.

Power is not always the chief criteria of a supercar.

NSX would defeat all of these on a track, dont care how much power a supra TT or VR4 has way too porky to be nimble on the track

I feel that the reason the NSX was not originally included in the poll was because its not really in the same class as the other cars(although many ppl see it that way).

All the other cars on the list are actually classified as GT cars.

This thread should be titled as 'Best Japanese GT car in the mid-90s' as the only true Supercar on the list is the NSX.

A poll of Supercars would include the NSX, Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc...

Comparing the NSX w/ the other cars in this poll is like comparing the Rolls Royce Phantom to a Lexus. Even though the price gap is not as great its a similar concept.

W/ modifications ppl were able to make there GT cars outperform supercars though and the fact that people even think of these cars in the same class is a testament to how truly great they were even though they cost so much less. The NSX was truly a bargain supercar though @ an amazing price compared to Ferrari/ Lambo. After the NSX my favorite car on this list is the Supra.

I voted for SupraTT because it has become an icon in America. It is probably the only non-classic car to appreciate in value the last five years.

This thread is pointless. The NSX is the ONLY supercar on this list.

when i was looking around for a NSX, i found a 97 blue/black in NY for 36k..its funny how u can find a 97+ nsx around the same price as a 97+ supra tt. when the NSX cost double a supra tt new.... damn fast and furious.

Um... Price? Prestige? Performance (not say others on this list aren't good performers)? But in reality, IMO anyway, the NSX is the only "supercar" on here and the only car that was given that from the get go, or very early on in it's life anyway. The Supra TT and FD are not cars you think of as supercars I dont think; they are great TUNER CARS and that is why they are so popular here and other message boards where car enthusiasts reside. Because some of those other cars can be built to compete and surpass, at times, cars like the NSX and other "supercars" in stock form, they're not much of a "supercar." As kiet mentioned as well, Fast and the Furious has a lot to do with the popularity AND price, currently, of these vehicles (mainly Supra TT). No average person is willing now to spend the asking price of most CLEAN Supra TTs. Those who pay that sort of money are mostly from the tuner market or some sort. The NSX on the other hand people buy with the mentality that they are in fact buying a supercar, not just a car that simply has raw power. Any respect given, earned or otherwise, to any of the other aforementioned cars has a direct relation to the tuner market.

I like NSX and all.... and, I agree that it was the one of kind at the time.
But, I don't think NSX belong in that Super Carcatagory you are talking about either...

For those of you who kept mentioning "Fast and the Furious"....
Supra was not the only car in that movie!!! Car's keeping it's value because it can!!!
