I heard there was a cutoff date before the order gets pushed to next months order. Anyone have any insight on this or anything else I should watch out for?

Orders are placed on the 15th, but don't forget that the dealer needs to give their Regional HQ your Special Order by this date.

Try to do a Special Order by about the 10th. Your dealer should get it to HQ by the 15th. Don't forget that weekends don't count!

the 20th but the cars have farther to travel so the average is just under 4 months until it arrives at the dealership...

When I placed my order, the dealer said they process all the orders every 2 weeks.

We are ready to place our order but our salesman won't be back until tomorrow. By placing the order on Saturday morning and the 15th being on Sunday do you feel there are any chances this won't make it in time and get pushed back another month?

Hmmm...

You may not make it. But then again, they may not send Special Orders until that Monday.

Go for it. If anything, you wait an extra 3-4 weeks, but you'll still get the exact car you want.

I just did one. MY dealer said the factory does different model cars for a period of time. I could get lucky and the order will hit the factory as they start a run of GX's or I could be unlucky and just miss it causing an extra month or so wait.

He said my GX will be built in Dec and I should receive it in Jan
