I've heard several times the car will be wearing the Nissan badge....which I don't agree with but I guess it really doesn't matter.
This car really hot. Looks monstrous, sporty, cool, powerful and just plain bad to the bone. Hopefully, all the guys that put Skyline badging on their G35's will stop. The G35 is not a Skyline.

The GT-R is simply called the Nissan GT-R...it no longer carries the skyline name

It's strange though how some articles do refer the GT-R as the "Skyline GT-R."

this is really bad....my IS350 isnt even 10 months old and now i think im in love with the GTR. i always wanted a *special* car, something out of the ordinary. this GTR is the epitome of that, more so than all the P cars (they all look pretty much the same). faster than an M3 for probably around same price? i need to win the lottery...

I have no problem with the soarer thing. I know for sure a soarer in japan is an sc in the us. I didn't know the skyline is the exact same car the g35 is. I didn't know the new gtr won't carry the skyline name. If this is true, and with so many of you guys saying it, it's okay and fully appropriate. In fact, I may put the skyline name on my G now. Thanks for the knowledge guys.
Did you notice in your G35, the ***** on your center console are on the right side of the console? Its b/c Nissan didn't bother creating a console for the the G35 since we are LHD. Thus is makes ergonomic sense in Japan but in America, the ***** are on the wrong side (cost cutting move)
The Skyline was always based on a 4 door sedan. It wasn't until 1992 with the R32 did we start getting GT-Rs. Thus GT-Rs were always sedan based from the start but clearly, it is arguably the greatest sports car out of Japan. The R34 was the first car to lap the "Ring" in under 8 minutes!
The new GT-R is the first GT-R not using the Skyline name and NOT sedan based.
