Exactly what crossed my mind!

I noticed how Jaime wrote at length about the Benzes, but carefully omitted saying anything about his car's times. What is the conspiracy here Jaime???

Actually I ran a 13.026@109 mph, but that's close enough.....

The car ran well, once it shifted. Very steady and very straight. I was actually very happy with how the tires performed (they're Michelin's BTW). The track gave decent grip, although it's been stickier before too.

I'm going to work on the tranny issue. Don't know what to try, but I have to try something. My goal has always been hitting 12's fully loaded. Stereo, seats, my big ole butt.....everything, just like I drive it everyday. None of this stripped out for the track only thing.

I'll hit it one day....hopefully.

That is actually THE best feeling in the world when someone comes up to you after a race and is all surprised on how quick your "luxury 4 door grocery getter" is.

That's like the commercial.....priceless!!!.

lol

I got the chrome 17's from LT. Lex who was living in Baltimore at the time, so it had snow tires. I won't have these rims on in the spring (teaser) but rather something supplied by the brand entrusted by the majority of racing teams in the world....
LOL, thats some good excuses right there Mike

BTW, someone just posted this very poor quality video from the track day. It is very blurry. You will however be able to see a couple of the very fast MB and VR4's and even yours truly in there......

I'm in there in two of my runs vs Sam in his turbo S2000. At about the 4 min mark, you will see that one very very close race between he and I where we both got 13.2's, but I treed him so I got the win light. I only beat him by a fender. It was a very close race. It was fun running against a pro and friend. We were razzing each other all day about running. We ended up 2-2 at the end of the day. I'd say our cars are even, right???

Anyway, here you go:

BTW, there's also a short clip in there of Rich in his IS350 running someone. He almost pulled it off. It was a good race too.
