Default Have Audi/Volks ever build RWD cars?

I am wondering if Audi/Volks have ever build RWD cars...
Why they don't build RWD cars since RWD cars are quite popular...almost all other car manufacturers have build RWD cars!

honda has ONE rwd car.
Toyota has NO RWD cars (exl. Lexus)
Mitsu has NO RWD cars
Nissan has ONE RWD car

RWD cars are making a resurgence but FWD/FWD based AWD cars are cheaper to make, more controllable in bad weather, and (most of the time) a lot more economical.

Isn't the Mark X and Crown (and all its variants) RWD?

The Scirroro and Corrado were RWD I think? Original Beetles.

Well Audis have always mostly been nicer VWs, and VWs are FWD. Only with Quatrro becoming dominant in racing in the 80s did they see that as ther niche.

Their AWD has ALWAYS been 50/50 but AWD can NEVER be as involving or sporty as RWD (notice Ferrari refuses to build AWD and the most extreme Porsches are RWD, GT-2, GT-3, CGT). Audi finally got the point and the RS4 is the FIRST Audi with a 40/60 RWD bias and the following S/RS cars will follow this.

Audi is not hurting worldwide, only in America. They do quite well overseas.

I really like Audi, IMO, fantastic cars.

again, your comparing apples to oranges my friend.

to completely clarify what im referring im talking about CARS on the Current US Domestic Market. Cars being defined as a subcategory of Vehicles dissimilar to the classifications of Truck/SUV.
