What makes you think the test is rigged? Because the best car of the bunch happens to win?

Few if any car mag has the resource and connections to get their hands on every single car in the same class for a comparison test at the same time. If you think getting all the cars you want for a test is easy, maybe you should start a magazine so that we can enjoy your comparison tests with 10+ cars in the same class every time.

Right, it's pretty hard to come up with an Accord or Madaspeed6 these days.

No need to get defensive. It's pretty common knowledge that the car mags have their own [profit-driven] agenda when it comes to arranging tests, and arriving at the results.

I used to believe in objective fair writing...very little these days. Of course there will be some influence based on greasing the wheels so to speak. That is why one doesn't take the printed word as law...forums like this and the buying public will rate the car real world.

No doubt the Camry is a nice car.

Um so you're suggesting that MT intentionally left out the better cars (i.e. Accord and the Mazdaspeed6) just so that the Camry can win? So as long as a comparison test is not done with ALL cars in the same class included it'll be considered by you as being "rigged", "arranged" and "profit-driven"? Show me a past comparison test you consider "fair" then. Chances are there's nothing that's fair to you, as there has never been any comparison test that really includes EVERY car in the same class.

So why talk down on a comparison test just because it doesn't include every car? The fact is that, of the 4 particular cars that were tested, the Camry is found to be the best. Whether or not the Camry would've won over the Accord or the Mazdaspeed6 can be left for some separate comparison tests to find out, on some other day, by possibly some other magazines.

With the right monetary incentive from Toyota to MT...anything's possible.

Convenient, isn't it? If MT wanted to publish a thorough and completely fair test (to see who was the best), they would've produced examples of all the front-running sedans.

Blinders, XeroK00L, blinders...

Meh, I'd still take the VQ over any Camry or Accord.

thats because both Accord and Mazda6 are the oldest cars of those, and would not be fair for them to be compared.

Mazdaspeed6 is a lot different vehicle and more expensive. It is also exclusivly manual.

Same as Camry finishing close to last in every comparo last year since it was old design...

Not fair for the Camry (or Nissan, or Mitsu, or Chevy), that is.
