If you watch the commercial from the beginning two men are coming from separete houses one is picking up the paper and the other is checking out the GS. I can see if someone starts the commercial part way through it can be construed as two gay men checking out the GS. All in all it's looks normal to me. I think a few could make it out to be something it really isn't...

See, the guy on the left of the screen has a crush on the guy on the right side of the screen, but he is too shy to ask him out, so he wows him with a Lexus and still he gets no play. Let's hope women don't pick up that trend any time soon.

Haha
I sensed some homoerotic tension there, maybe it was the alliterative speech.
Interestingly, there is a similar ad now on Lexus.com with 2 women and ambiguous positioning:

Yeah I dont get it. What is up with Lexus and these commercials?
Someone explain it to me.
They both clearly have drive ways. Why can't they just use their drive ways?

They are just stupid commercials
The car is parked in between 2 driveways and they can't figure out which spouse got it for who.
"Oh sorry honey, I left your Christmas present parked outside, so don't go outside until Christmas morning"
Anyways, I think that the spot with the 2 guys scored so low in part due to the fact that they may be perceived as gay, but in larger part due to the fact that many men would think that a woman buying them a car is "weird."

nothing wrong with getting more bang for you buck if you can hit more than one demographic. it's kind of clever if you ask me. But oddly enough, i havent seen the ad w/ the two male neighbords, i see more of the 2 ladies as that one is less ambiguious.
