Agreed. Throw the in the Qx4 in there as well. These new bling bling designs really make this classy looking LX stand out.

I finally saw the LX470 Limited while in CA visiting family. My wife and I were driving along the 78 in Carlsbad/San Marcos and in the slow lane we saw it. Very nice looking truck. My wife loved the chrome door handles. Do any of you own this version?

I had a LX470 for 3 years it was a good truck back in the day but for today standard its so outdate... lately i have been driving the new Suburbans and Tahoe for long distance trip and I like them both better than my old LX470.. the suburban and tahoe has more power.. more room.. smoother and use a lot LESS gas than the LX.. I don't understand why anyone out there would pay such high price for a 10 years old desgin LX when there are better SUV for a lot less $$$

I agree - some people will say the LX470 has better reliability. That may be true or it may not (we haven't seen the reliability stats out of the new Tahoes and such yet), but I'll tell you one thing I've realized, too - Lexus models are expensive to fix... even if the LX goes to the shop half as often - if it costs 3 times as much to maintain and repair then that goes out the window.

Anyone dissing the LX470 probably has never driven a few hundred miles in one sitting (with one gas stop), towed trucks out of lakes, gotten stuck in mud and figured out that yes, you have all the same tools as the more hard-core mudders, or gone to prom in one.

Trust me, the LX is the most versatile luxury SUV out there. I only wish I could get some kind of hack so I could turn the air suspension into a lift kit.

You can, just reposition the height sensors, very much like the LS430 lowering hack.

At least, I remember seeing the bars in the rear of the LX, I assume the front has them too.

My condolences for your regret of selling it.
I'm not sure what we're going to do. I know everyone in the family wants the new LX as well as the new LS but god help me if someone suggests we get rid of the LS430 and LX470!

Hopefully the LX 570 will build on the strengths of the LX/LC line...while adding a lot more luxury. Based on the pictures, that seems to be the case.

But loosing on the off-roading ability.
Look at those massive shiny wheels! Forget the fact that we've made ground clearance worse!

yeah I took my LX to Azusa canyon twice having some offroad fun and only I know the my tranny broke few months later

I tow almost 5000lb in back of a 07 Suburban 900 miles in 12 hours I was passing EVERYONE on the highway I'm not sure if the same could be done in my old LX.. my old LX feels weak compare to the Suburban/Tahoe....
