Tint tickets in California...

Alright so we've determined that its possible to get impounded if you get a second tint ticket but... is it a requirement to get impounded or is it all up to the officer to impound your car? That is what makes or breaks me getting my tints again. Now if a second tint ticket automatically gets you impounded then forget about me doing that but if the officer is the one who decides whether or not I get impounded well thats a different story then... Please can anyone shed some light? Thanks.

When did CA window tint tickets become a moving violation infraction? I'm not calling BS on your post, just wondering since I hadn't heard about that before...
