Are you implying that the Vette would be a better car for the winter than the Boxster? I thought it would be the other way around. I know neither of them are going to be fun to have to drive in the winter but I'm sure I could handle either with a good set of winter tires. I learned how to drive in Toronto (although I was driving an underpowered FWD car) so I'm comfortable in the snow. Snow is only actually on the ground maybe 15-20 days out of the whole year anyways, so I'm not going to let the snow make or break my decision. I would be able to get to and from work safely regardless of conditions though
No, I'm saying that you'll be less cold with a hardtop than a ragtop.

If you're sure about that, then get whatever floats your boat most.

Is that Ronnie Coleman in your avitar? He's an animal. I'm really into bodybuilding myself, although I'm nowhere near as huge as I would like to be

Dunno if you've considered the insurance factor. For a guy in his early 20's moving from a Lexus sedan to a Vette will probably cause a major increase in premiums.

since you kept using the word 'tossable' and small nimble and SPORTS CAR. i can assure you that you won't be disappointed with the S2000. I was in the same situation as you early this year, except I was lookin at the 06 Boxster S. The S2K was about 90% of the new Boxster S and equivalent with the previous generation Boxster S. The only difference is that I saved $30k buying the S2000 over the Porsche. I have no regrets and is super super happy with the car. It handles like a dream - in some aspects more tossable than the Porsche because it is more raw and nimble. The Porsche has more power. I also looked at the Corvette. It has TON of power but in the handling front it is a bit bigger and not quite as tossable. Stop worrying about 'class'. Just get the car that is FUN and you'll absolutely enjoy. Besides, if you get on a track like autocross, the S2000 will hold its own against those cars.
