Sorry to get OT mods... This car holds a lot of promise. I think the name "sports car for the 21st century" summed it up VERY nicely.
I'm not one of the people you mentioned with all the negativity. Those who are, that's their opinion and they have a right to it.

As for my comments, I was just trying to lighten things up. You're the one with the issues buddy.

Obviously, you love Toyota. That's your business but people can criticize anyone and anything they choose. Lighten up!

I didn't see any need to involve Bean's family or relationships in your criticism. In the interest of keeping this thread open, please take this to PM if you'd like to continue your discussion unless it pertains to the original post.

I love the look of this car, though I wonder if there may be some re-work of the front end for collision safety purposes.

I know that, I meant 408hp, around 4 second 0-60. Thanks for pointing that out though (for those that didnt)

The Volta is also rear engined/awd, with only motors running the wheels where as this is front engined/rwd

This car is kind of ugly. Sorry. It seems GT-R(ish)/Lotus(ish) to me for some reason. The front end needs more refinement IMO, it just looks too much like a concept. I will admit though, as someone else mentioned, it looks better from the side opposed from the front. As for the price, it's hard to imagine Toyota will be able to keep the car in the price range, but we'll see...

Side profile is alright. Front and rear remind me of a boat.

Yea this is over in Car Chat.
I would much rather have the 2GR instead of the 2JZ. The only upper hand the 2JZ has is the turbos.

Maybe thats because it is a concept?

I didnt like the look of this when i first saw it, but its growing on me. I think it does resemble the GT-R a bit, as well as the LF-A...Calty needs to lay off the lexus inspired designs......somebody, somewhere in lexus management has to be upset, because the point of L-finese was to distance the brands' image.

I can see this car being toned down into a beautiful production vehicle, hope it can perform to that end as well.

I wish the wheels (at least the design, not the CF construction) could make it to production, at least as an option... I really dig them.
The convertible targa is hot too.

play123boi, I've merged your thread with the existing one in car chat.

In the future, please put auto threads that aren't related to the SC300/400 in the car chat forum, thank you

agreed. some of the other designers sketches looked better, or at least some areas could have been integrated into this design.

for example, i think this rear end is much better

the front end also needs more ducting and the overall design needs less angles
