I wonder how realistic that is, though. The BMW website lists 0-60 for the 335i as 5.5s, and you would have to be in a coma to hit that.

When the M3 suppose to come out anyways?

Plus it wouldn't be $90k US. Probably be +$64K US.

Base price for the coupe will be around $55k, a loaded vert will be at $70k.

I hope that's true but I don't think it's going to happen. A loaded 335i is in the upper 40K range, and the M3 is going to have a V8 under the hood. While the closest competitor, the RS4, is in the upper $60K and the speculating Skyline GT-R in the 70s range, plus the weak dollar (against Euro), $55K sounds low.

BMW will hold the line. The last M3 (E46) vert was $66k loaded. Figure no more than a 10% price increase. If it were to get too high, folks would get a 6series instead.

The V8 will not cost BMW any more than the 335 turbo engine.

4.9 sec? thats kinda slow for a M3 coupe if you ask me. My rx-7 will kill that thing stock, cost 75% less, same curb side apeel IMO. Not worth 70k for a loaded vert, I think its ugly as crap. I would rather a used e46 vert even if I had 70k to drop on one.

Euro times are 0-62 and estimates are always very conservative.
I think the new 3 coupe is pretty bland and its not pretty but I won't say its ugly. There is a guy with a 328 at work, I think 17" wheels no sport kit and it has no presence whatsover.

I do like the E46/E36 a lot though and find the E46 M3 to be pretty much perfect from a styling standpoint.

BMW is always conservative with their numbers. The 335 goes 0-60 in 4.9 seconds according to all reviews even though BMW states low 5's.

I suspect the M3 will be marketed at 4.6 seconds and get close to 4.0 seconds 0-60.

I hate to say this but. The 3 series always reminds me of a girls car. And I've had females tell me the same thing.

17" wheels on an e92 is like trying to feed Rosie O'Donnell one dunkin donuts munchkin. She needs twelve'a pizza pies!

Seriously though, the wheel wells and fender cuts on the e92 are mammoth, even 19's look small in 'em.

You mean when you put the rest of the engine in your RX-7?

Rear looks pretty horrible from the pics. I'd like to see this thing in real world, but unlike other cars, bangled up bimmers look better on photos.
That being said, I really like the 335 coupe and considering buying one.

honestly i am really not sure about 70k for a car of this class. i mean it's fast and everything, no deny on that. but that's still based on the 3 series. to me that's just very expensive
