That may or may not be true, but is irrelevant to what I was trying to say. GM's troubles are not due to Toyota's success, it is due to mismanagement. Specifically, overpaying and over-benifiting union workers. If they employ as many people as you say they do, it's very easy to see how they can get into trouble.
