Yes....the Zephyr. It is basically going to replace the old LS.
( I did a review of one last winter ).

It's important to remember, though, that the good first-year reliability rating of these cars refers to their FWD versions only...not the more complex AWD models introduced later on.

What a stupid 'survey'... that is unless they really went for a random sample and didn't stick to or focus within their reader base.
Here's what they said:

Consumer Reports National Research Center conducted a random, nationwide telephone survey from Nov. 30 to Dec. 3, 2006, of 907 adults whose household owns at least one vehicle. Respondents were asked to name the best vehicle in each category.
So they apparently didn't limit it to their subscribers. If they had, I'd totally agree with you. CR is the King and Queen of bland, reliable, safe purchases devoid of passion, oh, oh, like Toyota! For those who disagree, what is the most *EXCITING* vehicle that Toyota makes? But Toyota builds what MOST people want, so they're likely to win most any survey.

Easy......the Prius.
It's exciting not having to spend money at the gas pumps. ( never mind the car's sticker and the dealer mark-ups .)

There are many definitions of *exiting*, & it does not have to mean sporty or fast, etc.
I haven't seen anybody that's really not exited about driving ANY new car, including geriatic folks driving a new Buick . . .

True...but another stereotype. There are a number of not-so-geriatric folks driving Buicks too. I had two of them before I was even 20 years old.
