Default Porsche GTSRS?

Has anyone here every heard of a Porsche GTSRS? I was driving home today saw a Porsche with an emblem reading "GTSRS." It looked like a carrera on steroids.

You mean RSR? Or GT3RS? Or Carrera RS? Other than misreading the name, this is the only instance of that name I could find: http://www.motorsport.com/news/artic...1288&FS=FIA-GT

I am sure it said GTSRS. I even went to the trouble of calling my father who drives a carrera to see if it is something he has heard of.

The car was white with teal blue accents. The GTSRS was also written in a teal blue color. It must be something the owner had painted on.

Either tuner, or shop addon.

If it's a 996 style, the only "hardcore" models were the GT3 and GT2. You could get GT3 RS if you had a large enough pocketbook but for track use only, not cert. for streets.

If its a 997, only the GT3 and the GT3 RS(steet spec) are factory options. All the RS's are spoken for at the dealerships when my old man was looking for one back in july. GT3 has a waitlist however.
No "GTSRS" for those.

If it's older than that, only other model of the top of my head would be the Carrera RSR, but that was late 70's.

GTSRS sounds too tuneresque to be of Porsche factory origin. Almost like it's trying to hard to be cryptic l337. haha sorry, but I find "GTSRS" to be rather funny.
