Just finished watching the show. First time for the show to drive into Canada. The hot laps with Paul Tracy were awesome. Not sure if Lexus liked them pushing the car to 130+, drifting and doing a burnout...but thats the stuff we love to see. Also notice, when John Kendall sits in the back, he DOESNT recline the seat as he is 6'4, someone even 6' or smaller cannot comfortably utlize the ottoman feature.
Overall one of my favorite Test Drive shows.

They liked the touch screen but failed to mention a lot of functions were locked out during motion.
I agree the tires sucked and the body roll and steering could be improved.
They could have also mentioned the awesome gas mileage with the 8 speed tranny.
Overall, I think it is a beautiful car and would not mind one in my driveway.

I saw it too. Lots of props given but I didn't like the guest driver saying the car didn't have the power of "some other luxury sedans out there." I'm sure he meant the germans. At least the host stated the car reached 0-60 in under 5 seconds. Is it really that fast? How fast does it need to be. It's a luxo barge. A sweet one, too.
I was surprised to see them do burnouts and sliders in the car. That's awesome but not a reason I would want this car. It is for cruizing, styling and profiling.

Seems like Paul Tracy was referring to V12 German competitors, but that will soon be met by the LS600h. Going 130mph on the track and doing burnouts, powerslides certainly does not mean a car is slow or doesn't have enough power. During cornering, the car also remained relatively stable and level.
