I'd take the Vantage V8 anyday, even though the Jag and Aston is owned by Ford.

One thing which would be nice too see from Top Gear. Ford GT vs Aston Martin Vanquish S.

New Jaguar XKR an outdated engine 4.2 Liter V8 with supercharger....Aston Martin V8 Vantage not as fast as Jaguar XKR. Aston Martin Vantage V8 just by looks alone...rest of sucks

+1. I dont have any favorites between these two design wise. They both look very aggressive in person IMO.

Corvette could be considered to have an old engine.
Lexus' V8 until the new LS460 engine could be considered 'old'.
Porsche 911 engine is basically the same as 20 years ago, except for better breathing, more displacement, better electronics.

But if it delivers the goods, it doesn't matter.
