Probably not in this case. When a customer comes in to test drive your car, I think it's better to think that the customer likes the car including how it look, and go agree with the customer's taste, rather than calling it ugly.

If the customer started to say the product is ugly, as a salesman he should still stand for the product. Look is subjective, there's no right or wrong answer.

In the current Issue of Road and Track, they have their OWNERS SURVEY on the latest Honda Accord.
Amazingly for the first time, STYLING was not a positive but a NEGATIVE!!!!it was one of the 5 WORST attributes of the car, to OWNERS.

And we all know it sells in DROVES.

People buy ugly cars for many reasons. In the case of the Accord, reliability, quality, features topped styling. (and they are right, the Accord is quite ugly)
