yep... ride is a bit stiff since we have bumpy roads, but it is also very good when it comes to twisties. German mags rated suspension better than Passat 4x4 and new CRV.

It is a lot sportier than old Rav4, which was considered the sportiest small SUV.

It probably also explains why CD loved Rav4, and why is it one of the few Toyota's that can win comparos and get a lot of praise from CD.

It also got rated better than X3 in Autobild comparo, and X3 in general is getting no love in Europe. It sells a lot less than X5, anywhere but in Germany...

So again, while sports SUV sounds stupid, it is just sportier SUV. I dont see why next RX400/450h wont have Sports pack and decent suspension settings... not sports, but sportier than current. And still comfy and luxurious.

Ya'll should drive LS400 for a month or two. After that, there's no going back to todays retarded trend of stiff suspensions and low profile tires.

Acura did just that with the MDX. I am just not sold on the exterior.

I can't even stand the soft ride in my ES300 let alone the LS400. I agree, it rides very smooth and cushy, but for some it is just too soft. I'm only in my mid 30s so maybe I'm still too young to appreciate luxury couches on wheels. Nothing wrong with it but it is just not for me yet. I used to drive a lowered NSX with 18/19 rims on 35/30 series tires daily for a while. Even that car didn't feel too stiff for me. I loved it.

As for an RX-F version? I'm against it only because it probably wont be sporty enough. I'm sure it will have the power, but it will have Lexus' way of sports suspension. Most Lexus customers want that soft luxury ride like you describe in the LS. They will not like or want a firm suspension or steering that you can feel the road. Lexus knows this so they will compromise to cater to the general Lexus customers.

I just thought. BMW refuses to make a M version for the X5 b/c the SUV is not true to be a M car.
So why would Lexus make a F-RX, especially since they don't even sell the IS-F yet?

What would they call an M-division X5? M5? MX5?

No it wasn't. The top rated M-X5 or whateve is the 4.8 model. Do I need to find the press release?

This is redundant (exits thread). You can have your sporty, useless SUVs which makes as much sense as beer with no alcohol!

I don't think watching the X5 commercial on the Nurbergring is ridiculous. The IS350 dropping from over 4000 ft, and that RX crashing into a electric car and turned into the RX400h, on the other hand, are plain annoying.

I take it you don't appreciate nor like the "Jack-of-all-trades" Cayenne Turbo S then? Cause it off-roads well and will embarass a lot sports cars.
