Glad the anti-Toyota guys came here to party. Have you seen the SUVs from YOUR favorite automaker? Makes this look like Jessica Biel......

This is my fix for the front end, which IMO, helps a LOT.

I think the car is big and bloated. If Toyota feels they need a 4,000 lb.+ SUV, then produce a new model. It would be nice to see something that can easily fit in a garage (no wider and longer guys!). I'd like to see something under 3,700 lbs (the weight of my '02 RX300) with a boost in gas milage if they can do it. No larger than my '02 RX300, which is already shorter than the present Highlander.

I really like the openess of the RX300 front seat area, where it is open between the left and right seats. Why close in this area in an SUV? I didn't like the storage area closing off this area on the previous Highlander either.

If Lexus follows this lead with the next RX, I guess I'm headed toward the redesigned Honda CR-V or the like . I need an SUV, but not a big boat.

I'm also disappointed with the new style, but I think it will look better in person than the pics. Even after a few minutes of looking at the pics I'm less offended by it. But I think the front end is ugly and boring. Maybe we should think of it as a BMW "banglized" style that we need to get used to. I think it looks a lot better than the ougoing Higlander, which I didn't buy because of its style.
