I doubt they sell more than 10,000 per year, around the world.
I mean at that price point why not get the whole done deal from the A8?
Or since it's near the pricing of an LS, why not get an LS?

Whats the big deal? It's a VW not a Lexus so it can't compare. Period.

Not true what so ever. As I said on the first page the car did not sell well because of its badge. The Phaeton had every single feature the rest of the cars offered and in some cases even more at a price that was slightly cheaper than a 7/S/A8 (among other things). It was a good car, but it was under a company where people would never want to pay over 30-40K for. Unfortunately, the Phaeton failed because of its image. No one wants to pay 70-90 grand for a VW.

The Phaeton weighed a lot more than the A8 because they used a steel frame on the VW and an alluminum one on the Audi.

And for that reason I wish someone would give me a Phaeton. I'd push the hell out of it. I just can see dropping 80K for it. This is where image definitely comes into play.

You can get used ones for no joke, in the mid 30k range.
This is A LOT of car for the money. Seriously, if you can look past the badge this is on par with the S/A8/LS/7.

Very true.
If something goes wrong they are expensive though.
