Perhaps you need to do a little more research before you make such a statement. Check this one out..........I can keep attaching more until you get the point. The V1 is a bulky, clunky looking unit that has remained pretty much unchanged since day one. Is it a good detector? Yep, the best? Doubt it.

So if the cops is comin from behind are you going to go WOT to get away from him, ya know?
Also people know what the v1 is worth and is more likely to get stolen then other radars IMO. Th only good thing aboutthe v1 is it holds its value for a long time since companies do not distribute them, you can only get them direct.

I just got a Solo 2 at a great price (as good as new) - very nice. I like no wires!
It seems just as capable as any detector I've used.
V1 is cool too and yes, it HAS changed since day 1 (got smaller and new software).

Also has the best anti-falsing available. Works even better if you program it to ignore bands/modes not used by the local gestapo. I set mine to ignore laser and X-band since they aren't used in our area.

I've set mine to ignore x band. Yes, great feature. Someone told me you can now turn off bands on V1 too.
