So, what's the difference between TSB's and all out Recall's?
I was fishing around the NHTSA's site last night and decidied to run a search on any info regarding the 1999 GS400 (what I have) out of curiousity to see if there were any problems that I have yet to figure out about.
The results that came up showed that there were 21 Technical Service Bulletin's yet no recalls. I looked through the TSB's and noticed that a few of them were for the same problem (suspension/ball joint issue).
So, this brings me to my question. What's the differenc between a TSB and a recall? Or where is the line between the two? I remember working at the dealer and getting TSB's all the time for the Jetta's and Golf's. But that meant that we had to replace the parts under warranty for the customer.
I'm confused!
