Did the story say "Barn in the trees" or "sprawling, concrete warehouse with great sunlight"??

And Andrew, you change screennames more than most people change underwear!

Default I bet you wish you had bought this property...

I don't know if this has been posted before, but I searched and couldn't find it, so here goes...

A NY man retired. He wanted to use his retirement money wisely so it would last, and decided to buy a home and a few acres in Portugal.

The modest farmhouse had been vacant for 15 years; the owner and wife both had died, and there were no heirs. The house was sold to pay taxes. There had been several lookers, but the large barn had steel doors, and they had been welded shut. Nobody wanted to foot to the extra expense to see what was in the barn, and it wasn't complimentary to the property anyway, so nobody made an offer on the place.

The NY guy bought it at just over half of the property's worth, moved in, and set about to tear in to the barn - curiosity was killing him. So he and his wife bought a generator, and a couple of grinders, and cut thru the welds. What was in the barn?

Go to www.intuh.net/barnfinds/afa70.htm and start wishing you had bought the place.

Wow! There are a ton of classics there and I'm sure they're worth a pretty penny...that is one property I definitely wish I purchased...

There are indeed a ton of classics in there... but nothing really (at least to my eyes) that would fetch a heap of money. Maybe the forumla cars (if they have some history). But, total, I would say about maybe $1-1.5 Million in cars... and that's really not much considering the AMOUNT of cars in there... Hell of a find nevertheless...

It's posted here before, but the link in the previous thread no longer works(content removed), so this is good :
