Audi announces S Line Package for A5
Audi today announced the S Line package for the new Audi A5 giving it a more dynamic and aggressive look. The Audi A5 S Line sports package lowers the coupe by 10 millimeters and gives it a new front and rear bumper, side ventilation grilles at the front, diffuser insert at the rear and a central bar on the lower side of the front bumper. The S Line sports package also includes choices of three different wheel sizes with 18-inch 5 spoke wheels, 19-inch 20 spoke wheels and 20-inch 7 spoke wheels

I give the exterior an A+
Interior an A- (with bonus points for the huge range of color and material options that will be made available for minimal extra $$)
This is supposed to be the first use of their next gen chassis that will be used for new new 2009 A4 and 2010 A6 - should be fairly advanced and handle even better than my current A4 which to me is already a blast to drive.
What's left? The motor. NOT enough power coming from that 3.2L to compete with other coupes in this price range.
Granted there is the S4 but I would be surprised if pricing on that is less than 60 grand and then you're competing with even more powerful higher $$ cars in that segment.
It's probably going to be between this A5 and the 335i coupe for my next lease. I like the exterior of this car a little better and the interior of this car WAY better - but the motor on the 335i will certainly be a whole lot more fun... hmm...

Well, with that kind of styling on the S-Line A5, who's gonna get the S5 now, which isn't all that powerful to begin with? They look exactly the same...
Also noticed the S5 actually comes to America BEFORE the A5. Weird...

That's like asking who would buy the M3 when they can get the M sport package.

In any case, I think there will be plenty of people who will want the extra performance from the S5 over the A5 to warrant them buying an S5 instead of an A5 with the S package.

And I agree, some people will want the S5 for the added performance, just like how people buy AMG Mercedes even though they can buy the sport kit that looks pretty much the same. I just think the "body kit" version of the normal car and the hot rod full-tilt version should look different.

The red one looks decent. The blue S5 looks horrible at those photo angles, especially that over-sized grill.
As much as I love Audi interiors, I'd still take the 3-coupe over that Audi Coupe.

^^ That Black Series CLK63 is a 6 digit coupe!! IMO, for 100K+ it better look better than this A5!!
I really do like this coupe. Its a clean fresh design. Glad Audi decided to build this.
