I really like an IS350 won the match but 3rd place is good enough. I can't wait watch a whole video.

The IS350 sure sounds nice on the vid It was just too tail happy around the corners, and that made the IS fall back in this race. That tail happiness is prevalent in the rear drive Lexus platforms including the 2nd & 3rd gen GS.

Someone on E90post commented on how the 335i used was a non-sport package 3 series, while the G35 is obviously the sport version. Any clue if it had All-wheel drive?

Since it says Skyline type "s" I'm assuming its the G35s thats here in the states. It does not come with AWD, but any clue as to if its the same in Japan? Would not be fair testing a stiffer sport tuned suspension G to a stock suspension 335i would it?

Also considering the G35s here in the states has a LSD while the 335i does not...That makes a huge difference on dry roads, let alone wet roads (but I would consider that more of a flaw on BMW's part than anything else) not including the wonder if the Skyline s type was AWD.

I'm a BMW owner so thats why I defend the 3 series a little bit better, I really don't know much about any other car there listed to really give some facts other than those quick notes I pulled off the inifiniti website.

The G35 tested in the vid was a Sport model, so it was not AWD.

Did anyone else notice that on some of the straight aways it seemed like the IS350 was pulling away from the G35 at a pretty good rate?

Yea, it did... until the Skyline passed it and never looked back.

AFAIK, the Nissan Skyline 350GT "Type SP" in Japan is the exact same car as the Infiniti G35s in North America, aside from the drive side and badges.

OT: Just got my C&D, they did a 328i sedan vs G35 sedan comparo, and the 328 won....

223 points to 216
0-60 5.5sec for G
6.1 for 328
1/4 14.1 @101 for G
14.8 @ 95 for 328

The 335 in the vid definately did not have the sport package. Sport package includes the 18 inch wheels and lower tighter suspension.. The Infiniti would be in the back of the pack if the 335 was fully equipped for battle... The 328 is a nice alternative for those who want to save bucks on a 3 series coupe/sedan. It is no snail. Is350 in the vid had the sport package..18's etc... I love the look of the 350 when equipped I downloaded this vid on my PSP for replay value

I don't think the G35 would have been at the back of the pack if the 335i has the sport suspension; it's too hard to pass a car on a track, that's the downside of all the BM "Battles". It may have eeked out another second or two on the track time, but I still think the G would have kept a reasonable pace, and probably landed in second. Impossible to say though.

LOL let me clarify.. It would be in the back of the pack with the other cars.. Seriously, those who got an opportunity to drive a 3 series during the Taste of Lexus back in 05 should remember how the 230 hp 330 Bimmer's w/ sport package handled on the track compared to the IS350. It was like a go cart imo..Fastfoward to 2007.... same suspension set-up, with a now 306 conservative horses under the hood... Just insane...
