335i is 300hp, nitpicking I know.

I don't think the 335i would have "smoked" the G if it had the sport suspension; remember the 335i is an open differential, and you could clearly see the inner tire spinning on some of the corners (which attributed to the fact that the G was slightly quicker out of some of the corners). The 335i with the sport suspension may have had enough to pass the G earlier, but without LSD, in the rain, a firmer suspension is only going to do so much. The 335i's Achilles heel so far has been lack of traction.

Oh well, it's fun to theorize. Either way both cars were pretty quick around that track given the conditions.

I finally got a chance to watch the whole thing. Toward the middle end of that video it looked like the G and 335 were starting to separted themselves from the IS and Subie. I dont know though, I still would have thought with the AWD and manual it would have done a little better.

^^ I dont think any of those cars can be equipped with AWD and manual (except for the Subie obviously)...at least not yet. 335xi should be coming out this spring.

Okay, since no one asked. I gotta ask. Anyone know what that were noise was in the IS when they brake? It sounds like the ABS went crazy. But it didn't sound like that. I can't figure out what that noise is. Anyone want to translate what they are saying exactly when that "strange" noise occurs?

also, it's strange that the G35 and 335 both got faster time on the slalom with the computer nanny shut off but the IS got faster time with them on

Sorry, I guess my post was unclear. I know the only one with AWD and manual is the Subie, I was saying though that I thought with the AWD and manual, the Subie would have done better. I see where the confusion came from my first post though...
