Default Who owns who chart

Though a little dated (maybe by a year or two), it gives a little insight on who the big players are.

Looks like our NYC MTA subway map. Still cool to look at.

Don't worry they're there. Just look straight below the Toyota logo.

I was thinking the same thing.

On the first map, Acura is not mentioned with Honda. Hmmm...

Another confusing thing: Toyota and BMW has an "engine" connection on the second map. What engine are they sharing? I know that Lotus shares a Toyota engine, but BMW?!?

I am not so sure about BMW but I am pretty sure that Mini's diesel motor are made by toyota.

They are indeed. The MINIs use a version of the Yaris's diesel engine.

Look at Toyota's little circle down in the corner. Looking at the whole poster, one would assume Toyota is a small player. BUT, they are almost the world's LARGEST automaker. Toyota has FOCUS. Others should learn from this.

I have seen this before, but still good to see and compare the changes.

Some times even companies partner to the point where the general public may not even have an idea the companies are separate. Such is the case here in Mexico where certain Hyundais are badged as Dodge and then sold out of a Chrysler dealer.

What hybrid tech is Toyota sharing with GM, they forgot to mention the manufacturing, and engine sharing with GM

It doesn't show VW's acquisition of Lotus, maybe I just couldn't find it.

I'm guessing maybe this chart was published by somebody outside of the US, because Acura doesn't exist as a brand in most of the rest of the world - they just sell all of their models as Hondas.

Though I am a little confused by "Samsung" being listed on there. If they make cars I had absolutely no idea!

That's a brand new event, and he said it may be a couple years old.
