This is that company I mentioned earlier that makes similar setups, http://www.ststurbo.com/
I have a friend with a Camaro that set one up and have driven it, and even at altitude I can't really notice much lag.
I was thinking about a similar system for my RX, but have a different idea for putting a turbo up in front of the catalytic converter.

ok, I believe you but still dont understand HOW it wouldnt have any lag. ...then my next question is, since it sits right next to the exhaust, what happens if I splash water and the turbo sucks it in? I mean, there always is a chance of sucking water in with a normal car, but really unlikely. from that pic the OP posted, looks like it sucks air from top of the diffusers?

Unless you had like 300psi.
The compressors look like they collect air from the enclosed air boxes to the left and right of the piping.
Also some more images.

Currency Motor Cars Rolls Out an 810-HP BMW M5
Currency Motor Cars' BMW M5 is fitted with a V10 turbo that makes 810 horsepower.
Put your money on Currency Motor Cars, a California-based tuner ready to take your Bimmer to the next level.
Wondering how to spend $100K on the interior of a car? Currency Motor Cars shows how with this detail of the seats...
...and the headrest, both done up in crocodile skin.

LOS ANGELES — The aptly named Currency Motor Cars has rolled out a customized $350,000 2006 BMW M5 with a turbocharged V10 engine that churns out 810 horses and has a top speed of 240 mph.
"It's a Super Sleeper," said Brent Harvey, company spokesman. "It looks like a beautiful BMW. You'd never know what it was unless you looked under the rear carriage or opened the door and saw the $100,000 interior."
The company, which was founded — appropriately enough — by Ron Cash, says it will build only 10 units of the car described as "the most powerful luxury sedan on the planet."
The black beauty's cabin is outfitted with such touches as "Florida crocodile," inspired by such classic vehicles as the old Delahaye and Bugatti roadsters of the 1930s.
The engine features a handcrafted intercooled system, is linked to a seven-speed transmission and sprints from zero to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds.
This is the first offering from the new design company, which says it will tune vehicles from Rolls-Royces to Corvettes. "We decided to do the M5 first because it was considered impossible to do," Harvey said.
What this means to you: Currency Motor Cars is gearing up to take your cash.

You know... I started to think about this for a while after reading the post. The new M5 has a button that you push to make it go from 400 to 500hp. So, I wonder... does that mode affect the output numbers of the car? Because, that ECU could play some serious mind games with those numbers if they don't tweak it right....

maybe now it's like
500 horsepower, 600 horsepower, 700 horsepower, 800 horsepower
cuz in the default car's setup it's
400, 400 Sport, 500, 500 Sport (which...i dunno where the difference is)
