I saw one today, and I guarantee you, it did not look weird at all. It looked like it was supposed to be that way. Very rugged and tough. Looks like a mini hummer H1 from a far.
The one and only one I saw was in BLACK.
I'd rock it!

Honestly this is a high-priced replacement for the old Cherokee, probably the best answer Daimler-Chrysler's going to come up with. Die hard Cherokee fans (like myself) have scorned the other attempts. The liberty fell flat with a lot of people, and even the Commander was trying to recall the glory days but its too expensive for most, and not nearly as tough. I've driven a Comander myself for a while but for its size, its cramped and underpowered unless you want to pay for the HEMI.
This 4door Wrangler looks weird, but its going to be an acceptable replacement for the Jeep nuts. 4 doors, longer wheelbase, decent 'out-of-the-box' 4x4 capability. Hopefully we'll see a price change.
