New D2-AUTOSPORT Project Vehicle: Corvette (C5)
Hey guys for 2007 we are kicking things off on a much "different" note than 2006. We have already demonstrated our expertise with Bentley, BMW, Mercedes, Lexus and other premium luxury marques. So with that being said, we wanted to do something out of our normal range for 2007. We kicked around a few different ideas for our next car, from SC430 to E-Class, to M3, etc then our sales manager Stefan really kicked things into left field with the suggestion of a Corvette!!
I can honestly say that I was a little thrown off by the prospect of bringing a dyed in the wool domestic car on board, however I have been doing wheels for C5 / C6's from day one and have always like the cars. So the decision was made and the search began. After seeing the car in person the decision was easy, that gleaming White paint was impressive! Stefan was much braver than me to attempt a domestic, but he was RIGHT! This vehicle has already began opening doors that were previously closed to the "baller car club" lol
I can honestly say that if you put your own perceptions to the side and just evaluate / enjoy the car based on its merits, you will love it! This car gets such reactions from people of all ages, moves VERY fast and has excellent handling to boot! Most amazing is it rides well too (considering what it is!).
The first mods as always are the wheels and lowering, but there are more to come, this project is going to be focused on effective yet cost concious power, along with the trademark D2 aesthetic.
Mods so far:
DONZ COLUMBO
20x8.5 / 20x10
FALKEN FK452
255/30-20
285/30-20
Lowered Suspension
I'd like to thank DONZ Wheelz for manufacturing these wheels to the custom specifications that we requested. Its not easy to get that done with 1pc wheels! If you guys need a set of DONZ Columbo or Montana with some mild tweaks to the normal specs we can now get it done!

Well derrick as always you take your cars to the next level.. With the Donz the vettes in a class by itself.. I haven't really been a great fan of the vette but i do like the curves and stance of the car.. I'm sure this car has great potential in the hands of D2...
BTW... You had to put those Donz on there didn't you.. LOL

I didn't know Derrick made this post, thanks everyone. Like he said I was looking at going to a SC430 from the LS but the speed bug bit me. I didn't really like vettes myself but after seeing what they can do with bolt ons, I was sold. I just can't believe the amount of attention this car gets from everyone, I thought the LS got a lot. Now that its looking good, time to do the power mods, now the fun starts, lol.
