2008 Porsche 911 GT2 Fully Undisguised

Porsche could stop all marketing and advertisement and their vehicles would still sell like hot cakes. People with money will always find Porsche if that's what they wanted. I don't think rich folks buy Porsche from seeing their ads in car and driver mag. Marketing only works for poor and middle class. 911 is a nice portion of Porsche sales, but if Porsche stop 911 production, it wouldn't stop me if I wanted a Porsche. Where are 911 buyers gonna go? Most likely they'll end up buying 911 replacements or some other model in the Porsche lineup if they want the Porsche driving experience. Those who are into looks only can buy used 911 or wait and see what the 911 replacement will look like.
Porsche did try to replace the RR 911 with a FR 928. See what happened to the "replacement" and what happened to 911. In a nutshell, the future 911 replacement will still be a rear engine car, and yes, they will still call it a 911. At the mean time they will expand their product line to attract more customers.
I don't agree with the stopping all marketing and they will still sell part. Porsche's name is in the same leauge with Ferrari and Lambo because of the performance on the track and some top models. However, they are different from the two exotic italians because Porsches are more "attainable". It's a dream that can be catched by the middle class.

One thing I wonder how many 996 Turbo S owners are waiting for a 997 Turbo S, probably max out at 535 hp. Also be like the GT2 but with AWD and like DSG or that might be next gen Turbo but wtv.

I'm not a huge fan of Porsche styling, I prefer the more expensive Ferrari and less expensive Corvette look in comparison. I still think it's a beautiful car, don't get me wrong, just not quite ideal.
My thoughts are this particular GT2 variation is not going to age very well. I don't know what the future holds, but the past 8 years or so seem to have been marqued by faux body grilles and oddly shaped spoilers - mostly in the tuner realm. This GT2 really epitomizes that look. In 20 years this Porsche will remind us of the aftermarket craze. Oh the humanity!
EDIT: Does it have Lamborghini doors?
