i'm used to seeing convoys since i live so close to Toyota headquarters here in Torrance--i saw the IS prototypes driving around long before any illustrations were released and didn't even know what they were. same for the FJ cruiser and the new LS--but they rarely travel by themselves (especially cars masked up so heavily)

so i spotted the altima .. and it had mfg plates.

That's the new Mazda6. There are lots of spy photos out there with the same wheels,doors, mirrors, and that fugly crap thats hiding the rest of the car.

And someone is definately copying LS exhausts.

BTW; the placement of the liscence plate is just strapped on high. That isn't where it will be placed in production.

Since it's copying Lexus LS exhaust so close, I would say it's a new Maxima. Who else would copy Lexus so close?

good observation. i've seen the tundra prototype last year drivinbg around gardena heavily covered up and by itself. same with the current gen GS before it came out haveily taped and covered speeding down thru torance, when i got close to it to take a pix it took off.

yea I thought it was the new Maxima as well since like someone already said, they seem to be copying Lexus oh so carefully.

Anyway, I do think its the new Mazda 6 judging by a few pics from the Mazda6 spy shot thread....

It's a Lexus for sure! Just look at the side mirrors and the door handles! Reminds me of the IS!!!
