This is an interesting read. I just heard of this man today by an old Veteran who was collecting the carts in the supermarket parking lot. He saw my Lexus, commented on its great quality/reliability, and then told me Deming's story. It makes me wonder - would there be a Lexus as we know it without this man?

Interesting indeed, he was a brilliant man. Indeed he like other Westerners who helped jump-start/accelerate Japan's industrial transformation, contributed to the rise of Toyota and in that way was part of the founding spirit of Lexus.
