It's always been styled to look like a mini S-class, hasn't it?
I guess, except for the front end. The quad joined headlights were exclusive to the c-class. The e-class has quad but seperated headlight. The s has a full single headlight. Now the new c mimicks the s. I don't dig that.

I dunno, seems like the fronts are actually less similar in the latest two than in the earlier two.

He sure is. Seeing them together...I can see there always was a similarity. I stand corrected. I still like the current front end better than the new one though.
