The R8 is also a sexy monster and with Audi's racing pedigree these two should make for a very good comparison test in some magazine.

True, Audi's track history is legendary, hence the R8. I look forward to mag covers with these mouth watering comparisons. Though I get the feeling they will still be comparing it to the BMW's 3 series as that's always the benchmark. Somehow the writers find a way to invoke BMW's famed money makers intoo every article....And If anyone is wondering, no I'm not a BMW hater. In fact it's just the opposite. I'm just speaking the truth.

The LF-A/ GT-F will also be housing a V10 engine though, which is a good bit more "exotic" in itself than a V8.

Any V8 Ferrari 355/360/430 is more exotic than a V10 Viper/RAM/M6 IMO... it takes more than just the engine or the price to be considered an "exotic".

LMAO at those who look at # of cylinders and think it makes a car an exotic.

I would. I'm one of those Lexus owners that don't really like the trend of Lexus cars getting more and more expensive. I do realize the LF-A is in a different market segment, but at $120K there are a lot of other exotic cars that I be looking at as well.

I comepletely agre. The LF-A is front engine RWD GT like car. The R8 is a mid engine sports car. Two completely different approaches to weekend fun

But the R8 is a mid engine which is a bit more "Exotic" if you will than a front engine.

So you agree with me that the MR Toyota Previa is more exotic than the Ferrari 599, Dodge Viper, and the upcoming LF-A right?

J/K...

So the more cylinders on an engine the more exotic it is? This Audi V8 isn't just your garden variety V8.

Lets not forget that Porsche, VW, Audi and Lambo are much related as companies and share a lot of tech.
