It's been out of production some years now, but, IMO, the 17" 5-spoke wheels on the original IS300 looked great. The optional 16" wheels that car had (with the all-season tires) weren't exactly ugly, but, IMO, the 6-spoke pattern didn't look as good as the 5-spokers.
Looking for opinions on changing the wheel and tires to 19 or 20 inches on a 2012 gs 460. Will this affect the wheel wells when turning? I worry about rubbingthe well on tight turns. Any ideas, suggestions would be appreciated
Thanks
That would depend on the fitment. Meaning, width, offset, tire size and ride height need to be taken in consideration.
Generally speaking, you can get 19"s and 20"s to fit without much problem. Granted that the offsets are not too aggressive.
If you'd like to see examples of aftermarket wheel set-ups on the 3rd gen GS, check the thread below. Most have listed pertinent information such as, wheel dimensions, tire sizes, offsets, what type of suspension they're running and if fender mods were needed to accommodate a certain fitment.
