Default Lexus (model meanings)

For some reason I have been thinking of this for a while.

The meaning of the names of the models.

LS, would be Luxury Sedan
LX, would be Luxury SUV
SC, would be Sports Coupe

GX, not sure what the G stands for the X for sure is SUV
RX, not sure what the R stands for the X for sure is SUV

And so forth.

X = SUV
L = Luxury
S = Sedan / Sport
E = ???
R = ???
G = ???
I = ???
C = Compact / Coupe [?]

Thats what I came up with. Not sure if its true or not. Now you see what happens when I start reading between the lines lol

Back when there was just the IS300, IS stood for Incessantly Slow, but now it is Intelligent Sport (I think).

It does make sense that the LF-A would be called the GT-F. Grand Tourer Formula or wtv they were using the F for. Flagship?

enigma's list pretty much sums up mine although I don't quite agree with the GX. But then again, I can't come up with another one better than Grand and it seems the rest of the group concurs.
