B/C we are all finding out the majority of people lease BMWs and the leases are HELLA cheaper than the competition.

I am curious enough to go down to a dealer sometime this summer.

BMW (and to a certain extend, Mercedes) tend to heavily subsidize on leases, and thus their lease rates are typically very low once the "new model" frenzy has passed. Plus, BMW's resale values tend to be quite high, and thus the dealers get another chance to earn money when the vehicle comes back and they sell it as a CPO for a substantial price.

My cousin leased one yesterday from a dealership.. It was a 335i coupe silver with gray leather and brown wood. Premium pkg, sport pkg, comfort access, sirius satellite, blutooth, ipod adapter, automatic transmission

4200 miles dealer demo MSRP was $48,400 Selling price $45,000 $3000 trade allowanCe given for his 2001 ford taurus. Best money factor used for his excellent credit. 36 months lease. 12K miles per year

nothing down..the trade took care of all the taxes and acquisition fees etc garbage

$690/month . residual $28,400

Given the high demand and rare availability of a new bmw 335i coupe, plus the fact u have to practically order one and not even a single dollar discount, i think he got a hell of a deal.

Oh yeah all the maintenance is all taken care for by bmw and also the warranty is extended for 3 months out which is how long the car was used as a demo. He also has this tire thing where if anything happens to the tires or whatever, chip, puncture, or needs patchwork etc...any dealer just gives and installs new ones for the life of the lease.

Most dealer here are doing 1000$ over invoice for the order ones.

Find a friend, get referrals. $800-1000 over invoice on most new BMWs is to be expected except of high-demand vehicles (335i coupe, the //Ms).

I know from various BMW forums that there are people in TX getting those deals.

ok, mom leased the 328i today. its alpine white, nav, premium package, cold weather package, bunch of others. $488/month with GAP and the clean guarantee thing. otherwise it would have been 468. anyways, they gave her 15k for the highlander, and she still owed 12 on it. she put the equity from that with the 3500 down payment.
how do you think we did.. theyre also throwin in roofracks

Not bad, though the downpayment is a bit higher than I expected (I'm no pro on leases though). What's the GAP and clean guarentee?! Never heard of this.

Don't get the roof racks. Make them throw in something more useful like the chrome tailpipes (the stock ones look awful) or a clear bra for the front end. Or the OEM rubber floor mats.

got the chrome tail pipes anyways...

gap is garunteed something protection, it just helps if the car is stolen.

the clean thing is this thing they do where they treat your carpet, leather, and paint so they resist spills and acids on the paint or something like that, its also garunteed, so if we spill coffee, and cant get it up, theyll replace the carpet, but all you have to do is litterally one swipe to get it up.

we need the roof racks, we travel a lot. thats why she was afraid of downsizing

If she leased through BMW Financial Services, GAP is included in the Aquisition fee.

The protection plan is a rip - especially if you are leasing.

I hate to say it, but if she leased through BMW Financial Services, then she should get her $20 per month back.

That first thing sounds like one of those dealer gimmicks like rustproofing. I question its necessity. Easy way is to avoid eating/drinking while driving, second thing is to get the rubber floor mats. I've never spilled anything on my cars, except maybe water on super-rare occasion.

Well honestly, a down payment is never a good thing on a lease.

heres a quick shot of the car... shes let me(16) drive it a few times for some reason and i actually have been taken it easy on her till the break in periods over. in the turns its a blast to drive, and the tiptronic thing is amazing, very responsive. the only bad thing ive noticed is the wheel is surprisingly hard to turn at low speeds (cant do it with one hand). the idrive and bluetooth is a little confusing for my mom, im tryin to teach it to her, but besides that, its a great car. also from the pic it kinda looks like a wagon, but its not
