Opinions on new 328i, mom is considering leasing
#76
heres a quick shot of the car... shes let me(16) drive it a few times for some reason and i actually have been taken it easy on her till the break in periods over. in the turns its a blast to drive, and the tiptronic thing is amazing, very responsive. the only bad thing ive noticed is the wheel is surprisingly hard to turn at low speeds (cant do it with one hand). the idrive and bluetooth is a little confusing for my mom, im tryin to teach it to her, but besides that, its a great car. also from the pic it kinda looks like a wagon, but its not
P.S- How is the steering a "bad" thing? It's not japanese, sorry. But it is very well-weighted and has good feedback (if a tad less so than the E46 steering). I've driven the 325i/328i many times and palming it in the parking lot is certainly very possible, especially considering the fact I can do the same (sometimes) in my X3.

When you turn the car and shift it from park to drive, move it to the left and elave it there...the gauge cluster screen should now say DS. If you move the lever up or down it goes into "manual shift" mode...

If you wish to shift manually, just push it up/down for shifts. Read the owner's manual........it's great stuff
