I remember a letter written to C&D where the owner totally bashes his 745 in the "letters" column.

. I agree with much of what you say about the auto mags. We are not only in an unneeded HP and torque race (although some automatic and AWD equipped cars with small engines still have marginal performance), but a rubber-band tire race as well. Each new or redesigned model sems to bring larger and larger wheels and lower and lower-profile tires. Though there are some exceptions, ride comfort, for the most part, is being ignored, and the manufacturers are also ignoring the effect of rough roads, potholes, and the damage they can do to this kind of tire-wheel setup.

Seriously, I rarely see anyone complain about I-Drive on any of the BMW forums. MPLexus301 - we could start a whole thread on the technology - but hey, we already did that
