4 of the top 6 cars are sedans yet still so expensive. I know its made up of how the cars are driven and by who but it still sucks that I really am considering 5 of those 10 for my next car if I decide to get something new insted of another SC.

Hmm interesting, as I think my Evo is actually cheaper for me to insure than my LS430.

NSX is no longer available thus probably why it is not on the list. Either way, I was only paying $1050 a year for my NSX with the same coverage as my 04 RX330 which was about $1400 a a year, and my 99 LS is about $1400 as well. So, in my case the NSX was the cheapest of them all

My IS300 wasn't bad at all....less than $900 a year, but that was perhaps because I am not-so-young, have a good driving record, and am with traditionally low-cost GEICO (which I recommend).
The Evo being highest on the list, in a way, does not surprise me, because it is a complex (AWD) car that is expensive to repair, not particularly crashworthy, and driven, on the whole, by immature and sometimes dangerous drivers.
What DOES surprise me, however, is the Mustang not being on the list, and very high on the list, despite its being a simply-designed RWD live-axle car and easy to repair. I can think of no other car on the market that, on the whole, is driven more dangerously or that causes more deaths, especially among teen-agers and young adults. Mustang GT, Cobra, and SVT drivers, as a whole (not all of them), are THE most dangerous that I have seen.

I remember when a Camaro used to be ridiculous to insure in the 80s.
My RX300 costs me a litte over $600 USD to insure in Florida (mandatory even if you live in Mexico), but then I get dinged for another $800 USD or so for Mexican insurance, mandatory for foreigners and I get checked at least once a month unlike the other 85% of the population here that has no coverage.

I always wondered why the IS300 is one of the highest cars to insure. Does anybody have an answer for that? I mean our IS300 costs more to insure than the LS430 we own...

ok...wow. i wonder how a new IS ranks.
my 00 RX is ridiculous. im 19 and have been in one accident, with barely a scratch on my car, but luckily the guy didnt report it. so my records clean. I have USAA and my family's record is really clean..and it's still 300 a month for me. that's something like...let me do my math...3600 a year. Now, don't ask me why i have an 00 RX with awd and a v6 in florida, but for the 15g discount my grandparents gave me on it...this, worth "25" to the dealer when they were going to trade it in, makes me think that i guess spending a little more on gas isnt so bad when i only paid 10 for it.
