Default Help : buying scion xB

Anyone here had an experience buying a scion?

I am looking into buying a new 2008 Scion xB, and I was told by the dealers that they don't even give 10$ off the MSRP.

Is it true or is it just BS?

help.

Many thanks.

That's correct. The buy price is WYSIWYG. You can haggle on trade-ins, options and financing I believe.

My friend's bf just bought a Scion Tc and they wouldn't even give the car away for a penny less!

Then of course they try to sucker you into little accessories

Yup all Scions are Pure priced which is given in detail on www.scion.com The markup is minimal. The focus is on accessories with the Scions. Financing is also set from the Scion. They assign the finance and lease rates to the dealerships. Accessories also have a set price, unless you know someone who can get a discount for you after you purchased the car. You may get some shady dealers who will actually say there is a markup in price because of the demand. That's BS...i met some customers who tried to trade their vehicles in and noticed that they owed way more than what the car was brand new. Scions are an easy buy. Know what you want, order it, and your done. The scion process should be the same throughout the entire USA. Goodluck

oh i'm a Toyota/Scion Internet Rep at a dealership so if you have any questions let me know.

The best thing to do: get a base Scion (you just choose color and tranny).

All accessories can be found online for much much less.

WOW!!

This is by far the easiest and the most hassle free car buying experience EVER!

Just walked into the dealer, locate the one I like, and sign! That's it!!

I am very impressed.

Btw, I got an Nautical Blue Scion xB, and it should be here in a week. I will post the pictures when I got it.

Thanks guys!

On some of the accessories and upgrades you get a warranty on them. Where as if you were to install them yourself you wouldn't get that warranty.

I would get a tC if it was quicker and AWD/RWD.

cool, so the 08 is the new model year, right??
I should go test drive it, I love my 04 xB, but I sold it since it is sooooo under powered... but the new one has about 158hp, right? hope it will make a difference..

yeah, it's pretty sweet fun little car. And so easy to get around in the town esp in the SF area.

IMHO, it has enough power to move that little thing. And it feels faster than my 4runner or the mini van.

But when i get back into my IS350, I can totally the difference.

It's a really nice car for what you paid for.
