Truth is, I can't have a $200K F430 as my only car, & my next new car will likely be a sedan, so realistically, it will likely be the LS + a second car which isn't likely be one of those in my "dream" list ...

My dream lists tend to still have a practical edge to them - they're cars I'd probably buy if my household income was about double what it is now - which means I still wouldn't go overboard, but I would loosen up a little.

Three cars:
-Comfortable daily driver and road trip car: LS460 SWB w/ Nav and Levinson... nothing else.
-Truck duties: Cadillac Escalade EXT
-Sporty choice: not so certain... either a Porsche 911, a BMW M6, or a Corvette Z06. Since I have zero driving time with any of those current 3 models, I can't say for sure.

Now that they're making a Turbo cab again, it's a shame they don't make a Turbo Targa. I think that might jump to the top of my list regarding Turbo variants.

You and I think similarly. I don't really have any desire to have an FXX or Maybach Exelero. I just want the benchmark luxury sedan (S600 -- sorry LS fans ) for the wifey, a cabriolet (either M3 or 911 Turbo) to tool around in on weekends, a sporty daily driver for myself (M5, M3 coupe, or 911 Turbo coupe), and maybe a wagon to haul crap (E63 AMG). Plus, I like that these are cars with meaning to enthusiasts, but to average folks they're just nice cars but nothing special, as opposed to the Bentleys and Lambos and the such.

Almost positive I'll buy a E46 ZHP sedan, E39, or a S4 after I finish grad school if I can find one in the right condition....if not, keep the GS put more mods, and buy a nice SC like attached

In the next 3 years while I'm still in undergrad, I'll probably get an IS350 or G35 when I can get rid of my IS300 and probably hold onto that new car until I'm done with school stuff, then buy an M3 or RS4.

I don't dream about owning crazy exotic cars, just cars I'll probably be able to own some day:
