Nope. I thought all FWD cars are mounted with a transverse engine.

Depends on how much the car weighs and if Hyundai can fix their engine-response problems.

Of the 3 Hyundais I've driven (all V6 models), they were EXTREMELY sluggish when driving around. I dunno if its the gearing, the engine programming, or a restrictive intake, etc... but it SUCKS. I dont like flooring a car, then waiting a few minutes for it to downshift (took forever seemingly on these Hyundais) then finally accelerate. Or wait for its groggy rear to finally get off the light.

My mother's 4-cyl 2006 Solara, while it would probably lose at flat-out acceleration, can jump off a light or across a street during a turn FAR more quickly and responsively than the Hyundais she and I drove when she was shopping.

Very few FWD cars have longitudinal-mounted engines.

But I wouldn't be surprised if this tiburon will come in RWD

The new Tiburon will indeed be rear-wheel drive...

Toyota needs an affordable rear-wheel drive car. Scion badge would work...
