Thumbs up 2010 Hyundai Tiburon

The new Tiburon will be based on a shortened version of the same RWD platform that underpins the new Genesis sedan. Rumors suggest an available V8 with well over 300hp, as well as the current 3.8L V6 generating around 300 hp. The 2010 Tiburon will make its debut sometime in 2009.

Go Hyundai! I really hope they become a serious threat to the mainstream Japanese brandsl. More competition is always good for the consumer.

looking at the engine shot, it dosent look like a V-anything, it looks like an inline 4 (most likely because i think i see 4 wires on top for the spark plugs) or 6 and based on the piping (near the air box and on the opposite side of the engine) it looks like its turbo'd with a SMIC or FMIC

if it were RWD, ide rock it! definitly!

that's what i was thinking. especially with the air box on one side and the intake manifold on the other.

man, if Hyundai produced a turbo 4, or even better, a 6 with enough power, and the right price, (RWD of course) i'd sell my SC in a heart beat.

Hyundai’s next generation Tiburon Coupe was recently caught undergoing the final phases of its development program before hitting the international auto show circuit next year. The new coupe is said to mimic some of the lines of the HCD8 Sports Tourer concept, which debuted at the 2004 Detroit Auto Show, but the latest images reveal some of the proportions of the current model will carry over.

The 09 Tiburon will ride on an all-new platform but the front-drive configuration is likely to stay, but with a range of more powerful four-cylinder and V6 engines. Hyundai is also rumored to be working on a new rear-wheel-drive coupe based on its upcoming Genesis sedan. Unlike the Tiburon, this new coupe would be a premium model aimed at luxury makes and is likely to feature a V8 powerplant.

Hyundai is well on its way to reaching its goal of becoming one of the top five car makes in the world. It’s no longer regarded purely as a maker of cheap and unreliable cars and is now comparable with many of its more established rivals. A recent survey has found that Hyundai’s image has improved dramatically in recent times, with the South Korean carmaker’s brand ranking improving by 32%, something that will definitely help the new Tiburon.

Well whatever car that is with the engine pic, it's definitely RWD.

Looking at the interior shots it looks like a honda/acura inside. And the back looks like the Accord coupe concept. Weird.

Very nice. Like the interior.

Patiently waiting for Toyota to get back in the game...
